| "John wanted a view of the landscape from somewhere near his cabin in the High Sierra. I spent a couple of enjoyable days tromping around before I came across this view. The light was changing rapidly, so I took a few photos and did 2 quick watercolor sketches, which I used later that winter to complete the painting." |
