| “This bridge has been torn down to make way for a modern bridge that will pass more flood waters. I wanted to paint the grand old dame’s portrait before she was gone forever. The bridge is at the crossroads of so many things: the highway, the creek, the bike path, and the ditch. I especially liked the way the water got all mysterious beneath the bridge.” |
