Shrine Mountain Inn, Colorado" "On a hut trip in the Rockies, I saw this view at sunrise, out the window next to my bed. I quickly sketched it with pastels which I had packed into the hut. I was pleased to later be able to capture the feeling of the glaring sunrise, in this studio painting."
