from Saddle Canyon, Mile 47, Grand Canyon" "I used to paint watercolors in a much more 'fractured', geometric style. This print is from that period. I layered pure color (up to 20 layers in places) to get the glowing shades you see here. During this period, I concentrated much more on the inter-relationship of shape and color, to create compositions that expressed the moods of the canyon."
